Gold members night a big success

The Howard Suite at Headingley Stadium hosted a special night for the club’s Gold Members with Head Coach Rohan Smith joined by star players James Bentley and Kruise Leeming to chat to fans about their careers, the Rhinos season and their hopes for the years ahead.

The annual event made a welcome return after a hiatus caused by the global pandemic and with over 250 guests in the room it was a great success.

Hosted by Leeds Rhinos Commercial Director Rob Oates and Head of Media & PR Phil Daly, first up was Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington. Gary was able to outline to supporters the club’s current status following the pandemic and explain exciting news about the game’s new partnership with global rights brand IMG. Gary then took questions from the audience.

Next up was Rohan Smith, who spoke passionately about his thoughts on coaching and developing players and a winning environment whilst also explaining his own back story. He told supporters about the realisation that coaching was something he enjoyed immensely when still only 16 and explained the satisfaction he has had from coaching by highlighting a number of players he has worked with during his career that have gone on to achieve success in their own way.

After a brief break, skipper Kruise Leeming and forward James Bentley took to the stage. After an informal interview on stage, we welcomed Rohan Smith back to join the lads and opened up for questions from the audience with lots of topics discussed, some serious and some a bit more light hearted to cap off a great evening.

On behalf of everyone at the Rhinos, thank you to the Gold Members who were able to attend and made it such a great night.
