ON THIS DAY in 1997 Leeds in the Premiership Trophy Quarter Final. After defeating Oldham 42-16 in the Preliminary Round Leeds faced a Wigan side who finished a spot above them in the league.
Francis Cummins crossed for two two tries, Phil Cantillon and Leroy Rivett all scored for Leeds but the Warriors secured the 38-22 win.
ON THIS DAY in 2000 a sole Kevin Sinfield try, converted by Francis Cummins was not enough to stop the Rhinos suffering a 18-6 home loss to London Broncos in the final game before the play offs.
ON THIS DAY in 2001 the Rhinos suffered a heavy away defeat to league leaders Bradford Bulls in the final game of the regular season.
Marcus St Hilaire, Danny Ward and Chev Walker were the only try scorers for Leeds and three additional goals from Rob Burrow was not enough to prevent a 62-18 defeat.
ON THIS DAY in 2016 the Rhinos finished off their regular season campaign with a resounding 60-12 win over Catalans Dragons with a hat trick from Jordan Tansey.
ON THIS DAY in 2012 the Rhinos booked their place in the next round of the play offs with a hard earned 42-20 win over Wakefield at Headingley Carnegie.
The Wildcats came into the game on the back of seven consecutive wins, including victory over Leeds at Rapid Solicitors Stadium back in July.
ON THIS DAY in 2017 Leeds Rhinos got back to winning ways with some impressive passages of play to defeat Salford for a third time this season.
Seven different players were on the scoreboard for Leeds as they earned a 44-2 win.
