Mullally and Singleton both start for Ireland against Welsh

Ireland's Anthony Mullally is tackled by Fiji's Apisai Koroisau and Jayson Bukuya.

Leeds Rhinos stars Anthony Mullally and Brad Singleton will both start for Ireland in their final World Cup pool game against Wales in Perth this Saturday.

Leeds Rhinos stars Anthony Mullally and Brad Singleton will both start for Ireland in their final World Cup pool game against Wales in Perth this Saturday.

Singleton has started both previous pool games, including last Sunday’s dramatic loss in Papua New Guinea, however Mullally has made his impact off the bench so far for Mark Aston’s side.

Mullally will now start in the front row with Singleton at loose forward against the Welsh. Leeds-born hooker Michael McIllorum starts at hooker whilst former Rhino Kyle Amor completes the front row for the Wolfhounds. Ireland need to win and then hope that the USA can pull off an unlikely win against the Kumuls in Port Moresby. Either Papua New Guinea or Ireland will most likely play England in the Quarter Final in Melbourne on Sunday, 19 November.
