On Sunday 29th March, Leeds Rhinos will host Warrington Wolves at AMT Headingley on a special occasion for the Super League competition. The game will mark 30 years to the day since the first Super League game between Paris and Sheffield, with Leeds and Warrington having met on that inaugural weekend back in 1996.

To mark the occasion, the Rhinos have unveiled a new look heritage shirt and there will be a great retro feel around the gameday and build up. To celebrate the last three decades we are counting down Leeds' top 100 Super League games including play offs, Super 8s and Grand Finals.

Every day we will be revealing another ten games building up to Friday 27th March when the top ten will be announced.

50. Salford City Reds v Leeds Rhinos 2009

Leeds lifted the League Leaders’ Shield for the first time since 2004 with a 30-24 win over Salford City Reds at The Willows

49. Leeds Rhinos v Warrington Wolves 2019

Leeds Rhinos concluded a disappointing 2019 season with a comprehensive win over Warrington Wolves at Headingley as the game marked the end of a glittering 20 year career for Jamie Jones-Buchanan, the future CEO signing off with a try and a goal.

48. Huddersfield Giants v Leeds Rhinos 2011

Leeds Rhinos travelled to Huddersfield on the final day of the regular season knowing nothing short of victory could secure them fifth spot and give them any chance of progressing in the play offs with at least a home game in the first round of the top eight play offs.

47. Leeds Rhinos v Wigan Warriors 1998

Leeds went top of the Super League with this epic win over Wigan at Headingley in the May 1998 with tries from Brad Godden and Andy Hay in front of 18,000 fans.

46. Leeds Rhinos v Castleford Tigers 2019

The first ever golden point win for the Rhinos came in dramatic circumstances as Daryl Powell’s Castleford Tigers side rallied late on to send the game into extra time.

Eventually Brad Dwyer proved to be the man of the hour as he slotted over the drop goal to give Dave Furner’s side the victory.

45. St Helens v Leeds Rhinos 2015

A first half hat trick from Ash Handley set the Rhinos on the way to a record winning margin away at St Helens as the Rhinos went six points clear at the top of the First Utility Super League.

44. Wigan Warriors v Leeds Rhinos 2010

Only a point separated Leeds and Wigan in the first round of the 2010 Play Offs at the DW Stadium. Kevin Sinfield dropped the eventual winning drop goal but Pat Richards could have given Wigan the win with a penalty from the sideline.

43. Warrington Wolves v Leeds Rhinos 2007

Leeds bounced back from a two point defeat to Wigan by thrashing Warrington Wolves 52-10 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

There were eight different try scorers on the day for the Rhinos, including two tries for Rob Burrow.

42. Castleford Tigers v Leeds Rhinos 2011

Leeds Rhinos welcomed back Jamie Peacock to action for the first time since midway through the 2010 season when he suffered a knee injury at the same venue. The game also marked Danny McGuire’s return to try scoring action as he got the biggest cheer of the afternoon to show the McGuire Magic was still very much in order.

41. Leeds Rhinos v Bradford Bulls 1999

A hat trick from forward Andy Hay helped Leeds secure a seven try victory over derby rivals Bradford Bulls at Headingley, sustaining an eight game unbeaten run.
