With Christmas approaching, Leeds Rhinos' annual Veteran Fans Event saw the club host some of its longest-serving fans for a Christmas dinner and games, as well as giving them a chance to reminisce about their time in the stands down the years.

Hosted by Chief Executive Gary Hetherington, the veteran fans were served a two-course meal, and got the opportunity to hear from Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Brad Arthur, legend of the 1990s and special guest Garry Schofield, as well as a number of authors, including John Beckett, who are publishing upcoming books about Headingley Stadium and Leeds Rugby League.

Best Starting 13 competition

As part of the event, Veteran Fans got the opportunity to take part in a competition on the day to pick their best squad of overseas players dating back to 1945. 

Special guest Schofield also picked his starting 13 and here was the results:
