Debut: Vs Wests Warriors (A) 08/02/2025
Honours:
Leeds Rhinos signed England international Jake Connor from Huddersfield Giants as the club's third signing ahead of the 2025 season, and the transfer proved to be one of the signings of the 2025 season.
The former Hull FC back moved to AMT Headingley on a two-year contract, having made his debut in Super League back in 2013 with Huddersfield before a six year spell with Hull FC where he won the Challenge Cup at Wembley in 2017. His debut year at AMT Headingley only missed a major final as Connor produced one of his best ever seasons in Super League. Quickly finding his spot in the halves after starting the season as a full back, he accumulated 219 points in his first season in blue and amber (eight tries, 93 goals and a drop goal) but more importantly, he finished the year as Super League's second highest try assister. His on-field performance earned him the honour of the Rob Burrow CBE Player of the Year at club level, plus he was selected as Super League's Man of Steel for the first time in his career to cap off a brilliant campaign.
In over 200 Super League appearances, he has shown his versality by playing across the back line and has scored 58 Super League tries amongst a total of 552 points in the competition.
He was capped five times by Wayne Bennett as England Head Coach, scoring four tries and nine goals, helping England to a series win over New Zealand in 2018. He followed that up a year later by touring with Great Britain to New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, playing in all three tests on tour.
