Loose forward Blake Morgan makes the step up the Rhinos Under-18s Academy in 2022 following an impressive year in the scholarship.
Morgan started playing his junior rugby for Saddleworth Rangers aged 6 years-old and during his time at the club, he won the Under-13s Lancashire playoffs. He signed for the Rhinos in 2020 but his first year was halted due to Covid.
The forward made the most of his time on the field in 2021 as he appeared for both scholarship teams. He didn't miss a game for the Under-16s during their season, playing in all four games against London, Wakefield, Hull KR and Bradford, and was also one player that benefitted from extra game time with the Under-17s.
In 2022, he played in ten out of the thirteen Under-18s matches that year and also ran out for the Reserves three times, including a 40-20 away win over London Broncos.
Morgan attends Ashton sixth form college and an interesting fact about him is that he used to play basketball.
