MATCH PREVIEW | Reserves meet Hull FC in Friday night clash

As the halfway point of the Reserves season approaches, Leeds Rhinos play their second consecutive away game in recent weeks as Chev Walker's side take on Hull FC at the University of Hull on Friday night, kick off 7pm.
Like in the Under-18s Academy season, only Warrington Wolves are preventing the Rhinos from sitting atop the league standings as both clubs remain unbeaten in both competitions. Specifically in the Reserves, a mixture of Under-18s talent have been given the opportunity to extend their time on the field with extra minutes in the Reserves and have taken the opportunity with both hands. Presley Cassell and Harley Thomas (both Under-18s) lead the try scoring for the Rhinos this season with three tries each, plus Jacob Stead and Joe Diskin opened their accounts for the season last time out in a 22-4 win over Bradford.
Now they can extend their run to five wins should they overcome Francis Cummins' Hull side on Friday night. After that, they host Wakefield before travelling to Wigan at the end of May in another highlight clash.

Hull FC have had a mixed start in 2025 with two wins and two losses so far. Opening the year with a four-point defeat to Bradford Bulls on the road, they made sure they overcame the challenge of Hull KR in a tight 18-16 clash and beat Castleford in March to keep their early season hopes alive. They come into this game off the back of a defeat to Warrington as a tough spell of games sees them take on Leeds too before taking on Leigh and Salford during May.
