Their Leeds Legacy: Walter Best

Ahead of the last game at AMT Headingley against Castleford Tigers, we caught up with Steve Fletcher who collected the heritage certificate on behalf of his uncle Walter Best, who represented Leeds between 1945 and 1947. Debuting against St Helens during wartime, Walter played three seasons at Leeds and scored 17 tries during his time at the club. He also played for Bradford Northern and Featherstone during his career.
