So far in 2024...
Although a tough opening ten rounds saw them go without a win, London Broncos have turned around their form in an attempt to avoid finishing bottom of the league.
St Helens, Wigan, Warrington, Huddersfield, Hull KR, Salford, Hull FC and Leeds were among the teams that inflicted losses on London early doors as the side settled back into life in the top flight, following their promotion in 2023. Having pushed Hull FC close in round three to lose out by a last minute try, Eccles' side took their revenge in round 11 as they walked away from the Cherry Red Records Stadium with their first win of the year, thanks to tries from Oli Leyland, Lee Kershaw, Jarred Bassett, Robbie Storey, James Meadows and Alex Walker in the 34-18 result.

Another stretch of defeats saw the club rally, particularly against the Rhinos in a tight 17-16 loss, before a surprise victory over Catalans Dragons on home soil closed the gap to eleventh placed Hull FC. Following a high scoring affair against Warrington, the side took on Hull FC for a third time in 2024 as the two sides opened Magic Weekend and this time secured a convincing triumph thank to two tries from outstanding full back Josh Rourke.
Their third meeting of the year with Leeds is the Broncos' final home outing of the campaign as they head on the road for their final three games. After this weekend, they face a Huddersfield side that have fallen away from the Play Off battle, as well as Catalans and Warrington who are both firmly in with a chance of making the top six.
Squad

One to Watch
Josh Rourke

Since opening his try-scoring account against the Rhinos at AMT Headingley in round 16, Josh Rourke is one of the leading lights in Mike Eccles' side.
The full back, who has spent time at Salford, Whitehaven and Batley since coming through Widnes Vikings' Academy, suffered a leg break in pre-season but has made up for lost time with eight tries in 11 appearances. Following his try against the Rhinos in a 17-16 defeat, he went on a run of scoring in four consecutive games against Castleford, Leigh and Hull KR, and comes into this week's game with four tries in his last three outings.
Now hotly tipped for a move away from the club for 2025, he is a key component if the Broncos are going to avoid finishing bottom by the end of this season.
