Rhinos Women hoping to keep up league form against Saints on Friday night

Leeds Rhinos return to Betfred Women's Super League action on Friday night as Lois Forsell's side look to continue their winning run in 2024 against St Helens in round four, kick off 5.30pm.

The Totally Wicked Stadium hosts a double header between the two clubs, which starts with the Women's clash before the men's sides go head to head at 8pm. The Rhinos and Saints both secured places in the Betfred Women's Challenge Cup Final last weekend, but return to the league competition in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Friday night.

The Rhinos head back to the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday night for a dress rehearsal of their upcoming Betfred Women's Challenge Cup Final clash with St Helens in a repeat of last year's finale.

Last weekend saw both Leeds and Saints return to Wembley with semi-final wins against York and Wigan, but this week sees attention focus back on the Betfred Women's Super League as Matty Smith's side look to play catch-up on the Rhinos in the league standings. Kicking off with a close 20-16 loss to the reigning Super League champions York Valkyrie, that saw the home side win the game in the closing moments, Saints have been unstoppable in their last two games against Huddersfield Giants and Featherstone Rovers as they've scored 118 points and conceded only 10.

This week sees the Red Vee take on the Rhinos, who have only lost to Saints once on the road in the Betfred Women's Super League, before facing off against Wigan at the end of the month in preparation for the Cup Final clash with Lois Forsell's side.

Winger and England international Leah Burke, who sat most of 2023 out with an ACL injury, has wasted no time in opening her account for 2024 as she comes into this week's game against Leeds on a 10-try scoring run in both league and cup (four of which came in the win over the Giants in round two), plus rugby union convert Phoebe Hook has picked up her form from 2023 with eight tries in all competitions.

Although the side lost the likes of Shona Hoyle and Eboni Partington in the off-season, England internationals still dominate Smith's lineup. Zoe Harris, Faye Gaskin and Tara Jones leads the creativity in the halves, whilst Vicky Whitfield, Emily Rudge, Jodie Cunningham, Paige Travis and Chantelle Crowl are among the first names on the team sheet every week. New signings Beri Salihi from Wigan and Emily Baggaley from Warrington have also come into the fold, along with Rachael Woosey who returned to the club off the back of a spell with Sale Sharks.
