Match Pack: Round Nine

The Rhinos round off round nine of the Betfred Super League this afternoon as Rohan Smith's side look to get back to winning ways against Hull FC at the MKM Stadium, kick off 3pm.

Leeds are hoping to turn a corner after back-to-back losses to Warrington and Huddersfield, whilst the black and whites also look to end a losing streak under the eye of interim coaches Simon Grix and Francis Cummins.

Ahead of the teams taking to the field, here is your snapshot preview of everything you need to know about tonight's teams:

21-man squad recap

Hull FC

In brief

- Simon Grix could hand loan signings Ed Chamberlain and Yusuf Aydin their club debuts after the duo signed for the black and whites midweek. Chamberlain joined from Leigh Leopards along with Tom Briscoe, as Darnell McIntosh went in the opposite direction. Aydin, who previously had a loan spell with Leeds, joined from Hull KR for the rest of 2024.

- Among the returnees are forwards Ligi Sao and Jack Brown, who come back from suspensions. Former Leeds full back Jack Walker is also available as he's recovered from injury.

- McIntosh, Cam Scott, Denive Balmforth, Macca Harman, and Jeylan Hodgson all miss out from the side that faced St Helens in round eight.

- Eight players remain sidelined through injury. Carlos Tuimavave (hamstring), Jake Trueman (Achilles), Brad Fash (ankle), Jack Ashworth (thumb), Mitieli Vulikijapani (knee), Nick Staveley (knee), Kye Armstrong (shoulder) and Cobie Wainhouse (knee) are all unavailable for the visit of the Rhinos.

Rhinos

In brief

- Like Hull, the Rhinos have also named a young outfit for this weekend's game as Riley Lumb and Ben Littlewood are in line for potential debuts.

- Lumb, who has been through the Rhinos Academy since the age of 14, was awarded the player of the match for Championship side Halifax Panthers last week, but potentially gets his chance to appear in the Betfred Super League for the first time.

- Littlewood was named in the 21-man squad for the Warrington game earlier this season, having impressed during his time in the Under-18s and Reserves.

- Leeds also have players medically ruled out in Ash Handley (rib), James Donaldson (neck), Tom Holroyd, James Bentley and Morgan Gannon (all HIA return to play). Harry Newman and David Fusitu'a are also unavailable after the Giants defeat.
