Hetherington says we must stick together to come back stronger

Leeds Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington has urged everyone connected with the club to stick together over the coming weeks and months to ensure the club is in the best possible position to continue after the coronavirus pandemic.

Hetherington spoke to members of the British Rugby League media on Wednesday morning to reiterate the need for continued support to make sure there is a sport for fans to continue to support post the lockdown.

The Leeds Rhinos boss praised the work of the Rugby Football League and their continued lobbying of the government to offer assistance to Rugby League because of the vital role each club, whether professional or in the community game, plays in their local community and says there is a commitment to fulfil the 2020 fixtures even if that means moving the end of the season back into the winter.
