Dwyer on the road to recovery after Covid 19 positive test

Leeds Rhinos hooker Brad Dwyer has revealed he was the Rhinos player who tested positive last week for Covid 19 as part of the club’s weekly round of antigen tests.

Dwyer was due to miss last Friday’s Coral Challenge Cup clash with Hull KR through suspension but he will be sidelined for at least another week as he completes his return to play protocol having contracted coronavirus.

Speaking to the official website Dwyer said, “After our game against Huddersfield, I had a headache the next morning. I had suffered a whiplash injury in the game so put it down to that but I wasn’t feeling better after a couple of days then I got the result of my Covid test and found out I was positive. I had a couple of days of really, really bad flu symptoms. But then I woke up the next day and felt a lot better. The club have been really great and looked after me, I have been isolating since last week on my own and I have had food parcels dropped off at my door. I have been cleaning the house and getting plenty of rest and hopefully once I have done my spell of isolation and received a negative test I can start getting back to normal.”
