Fran burst onto the scene with the Rhinos aged just 16, having an outstanding debut season that saw her score two tries to win the Grand Final and a memorable try in the Challenge Cup. Her form earned her a call up the England squad and she made her international debut in 2021.

She went from strength to strength in 2021 as Goldthorp smashed the Rhinos Women's record for tries scored in a season. In the 12 games she played, the centre scored 20 tries including four against Bradford Bulls and five against Wakefield Trinity.

An all round sportswoman she also plays cricket and Rugby Union. Her former clubs include Otley and West Park Rugby Union and Guiesley Rugby League where she was coached by her now head coach Lois Forsell in her Women and Girls development role with Leeds Rhinos Foundation.

A former pupil at Rawdon St Peters, Benton Park and Ashville College and she is currently studying at Loughborough University for a foundation year in Sport and Exercise Science.

She comes from a sporting family and her dad and brothers have all played for Yorkshire in cricket and her Mum also ran for Yorkshire for cross country athletics.

The best piece of advice for aspiring players is to take every opportunity and enjoy it and try as many sports as you can.
