Sophie joined the Rhinos in the club's debut season and predominantly played on the wing before moving into the centres.
She made 17 appearances in her debut season for her hometown club and proved to be one of the team's biggest attacking threats, scoring 12 tries. Playing in the outside backs, she only missed one game and was part of the team that secured the Challenge Cup with victory over Castleford Tigers Women. She showed her versatility during the season, moving to centre five games in and created a formidable partnership with Madison Laverick.
The 2019 season was bittersweet for Robinson as she began the season in fine form. Starting in all eleven games up until August, scoring four tries, her season was brought to an abrupt end as after scoring her hat trick try against York, she was taken from the field with a serious leg injury.
Robinson returned to action in 2021, after the 2020 season was cancelled, and made a total of 12 appearances and scored five tries. A year later, she finally got her first Grand Final winners medal as she played nine times in all competitions on the road to beating York in the Final. Having missed the Challenge Cup Final defeat to St Helens earlier in the year, she returned to play all eight league games, including the semi-final win over St Helens in which she scored two tries, and the Final.
The 2023 season saw her make more history as she scored the Rhinos' first Wembley try in the Women's Challenge Cup Final defeat to Saints, whilst in the league, her crucial golden point try against Matty Smith's side helped Leeds return to their fifth consecutive Grand Final.
In her final season at the Rhinos in 2024, Robinson played all but one game for the club as they returned to the Challenge Cup Final and Betfred Women's Super League Play Offs. She played all 14 regular season games in the outside backs, scoring four tries, and was part of the side that lost out to York Valkyrie in the semi finals. Three tries in the Challenge Cup competition also saw Robinson return back to the Cup Final, where she came off the bench at Wembley against St Helens.
At the end of the season, she announced her departure from the club after six seasons. In total, she made 84 appearances and scored 47 tries for Leeds.
Before joining the Rhinos, Sophie played for Farnley Falcons and Stanningley, where she was part of the side that won the Championship in 2017, scoring two tries. She also represented Yorkshire in 2015.
