Hooker Will Shaw joined the Rhinos late in 2022 but helped the club lift the Academy Grand Final trophy by the end of the season.

Originally from Brotherton Bulldogs, Shaw was scouted by Castleford Tigers for their Scholarship side and he progressed into the Academy too. He left to make the switch to Leeds and made his first appearance with the Reserves in a 28-22 defeat to Hull FC. He also got game time with the Under-18s and aided them to the Grand Final where they defeated St Helens to lift the trophy.
