Leeds Rhinos bolstered their forward pack with the signing of Joe Shorrocks from Salford Red Devils on loan in August 2025.

Shorrocks, who had made 17 appearances in 2025 for the Red Devils, added to the Rhinos forward pack as he can play in the second row, loose forward or at hooker. Originally from the Wigan Academy set up, Shorrocks joined Salford in 2024 and made 44 appearances for the club, scoring two tries. he made his Super League debut with Wigan back in 2019, accumulating 73 appearances for Wigan before leaving the club in 2023, scoring three tries. He also had brief loan spells at London Skolars and Leigh during his career.  During his time at Wigan, he also played at centre and in the half backs.
