Leeds Rhinos signed centre Paul Momirovski on a two-year contract from NRL side Sydney Roosters ahead of the 2024 Betfred Super League season.
Born in the Sydney area, Momirovski played for local side Alexandria Rovers as a junior before being picked up by Peter O'Sullivan at the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Noticed by the Roosters for his talents, he made the short trip to the tri-colours in 2014 and progressed through the club’s youth setup where he notably won the Holden Cup in 2016. Two years later, he was given his NRL bow by Trent Robinson against Gold Coast Titans and the centre rewarded his coach with the game's opening try. That same season, he was drafted in for the Preliminary Final against his former club Souths, where he scored again to send the Roosters towards Grand Final glory.
He signed a two-year deal with Wests Tigers at the start of the 2019 campaign and in his sole season at the club, Momirovski play 11 times and score eight tries, including three in a 42-14 routing of the Dragons. He also featured in the Prime Ministers XIII win over Fiji at the end of the year.
As part of a year-long swap deal with hooker Harry Grant, Momirovski joined Craig Bellamy at Melbourne for the 2020 campaign where he scored four tries in six games. He was part of a player swap the year after too as he joined Penrith for his most successful season to date; the centre scored six tries in 19 appearances on the way to Penrith lifting a Grand Final title.
The outside back came full circle in 2022 as a return to the Roosters saw him continue his on-field form with six tries in 19 games for the Chooks and he also appeared in another Finals campaign, only to be knocked out by their close-city neighbours Souths. He was sidelined for most of the 2023 season with shoulder ligament damage suffered against the Warriors in round nine but he made a return before the end of the campaign.
2024 saw the centre finish his contract with the Roosters early to join up with the Rhinos, where he played 23 times over the course of the season. After making a winning debut against Salford at AMT Headingley, Momirovski got his first tries for the club in an away win against Castleford before adding tries against Huddersfield, London and Warrington both on the road and at Magic Weekend. At the end of the season, he reached an agreement with the club which saw him leave after one season.
