Second rower Grace Short joined the Rhinos from Oulton Raidettes, and progressed through the Academy ranks to make her senior debut in 2024.

After impressing in nine games across the Under-19s 2023 and 2024 seasons, Short was handed her first team debut against Barrow as she came off the bench to score a try in a 68-0 triumph at AMT Headingley. She went on to make eight appearances that year, scoring two more tries in wins over Featherstone and Wigan, before featuring ten times off the bench for the club in 2025. 

Short captained the England DiSE squad that toured France in 2024. She scored two tries in the victory that included players such as Evie Cousins and Lily Thompson.
