After visiting Old Trafford for the Super League Grand Final, Luca Teal was inspired to start playing rugby league. Starting at Shaw Cross Sharks, he played for the club for three years in Division One before moving to Hunslet Parkside in 2020. He also played for Oulton Raiders in 2021, where he was picked up by the Rhinos, along with team mates Callum Webster and Noah Whittingham.
In his first season with the Rhinos Scholarship, Teal made two appearances against Bradford Bulls and Newcastle Thunder. Alongside playing with the Rhinos, he moved to Lock Lane where he helped the club win the division one title and Challenge Cup with a number of his Rhinos team mates.
He currently attends Rodillian Academy.
