Forward Zach McSwiney was one of three players brought into the Rhinos Academy ranks from Stanningley midway through the 2022 season.
McSwiney joined Stanningley at the age of five after his dad got him into playing the sport. One of his most memorable moments was winning the Leeds and District Cup Final and the BARLA finals.
While he is at Leeds in 2022, he played for the club's Reserves and Academy teams. In his first Reserves appearance, McSwiney scored two tries against London Broncos and went on to score one more in a 26-22 loss to Hull FC. For the Under-18s, he featured off the bench in the Rhinos' last three games, including the Grand Final win over St Helens.
Zach currently attends Leeds City College.
