Cross code player Tobias Gibson is in his second year with the Leeds Rhinos Academy side.

He played all of his junior Rugby League at Halifax junior club Siddal winning the Halifax Cup, having also played Rugby Union for Old Brodleians Rugby Union.

Despite missing his first scholarship year due to the Covid pandemic, Gibson was active for both the Under-16s and Under-17s throughout 2021. He started in convincing wins over Wakefield, Hull KR and Bradford Bulls for Mark Butterill's side, plus he made two starts for the Under-17s.

He moved into the Academy in 2022 and despite injuries breaking up his season, he came off the bench three times in wins over Huddersfield, Castleford and Wakefield.

Gibson is currently studying for his A-Levels at Crossley Heath School.
