Prop Ben Hursey-Hord was one of three new players who signed for the Rhinos in 2022.
Hursey-Hord came through London Broncos’ academy system having previously played for Invicta Panthers in Maidstone. At Under-16s level, he was a part of the Panthers side that won every game and clinched the London Rugby League title, plus he also represented the Under 15s South in the 2020 Namco London Origin Series. Debuting for the Broncos is the forward’s most memorable moment.
He had a tough start to his tenure at the Rhinos as his first season saw the forward spend the season on the sidelines. Nevertheless, he bounced back in 2023 to play in all but one game for the Rhinos Reserves squad in the back row, plus he scored his first try in Leeds colours in a 46-12 result against Newcastle Thunder.
Hursey-Hord currently attends Leeds Beckett University, where he also plays for their Rugby League side.
