Chev Walker

Job Title
Under-18s Academy and Reserves Head Coach

Head of Player Production Chev Walker returned to his first club in 2017 to team up with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation on a new project that will be aiming to engage high school children who otherwise would not come into contact with the game with Rugby League. Walker, who played for England and Great Britain, only came to the game after his family moved to Hunslet from Harehills where he discovered Rugby League. The new initiative will see Walker working with schools in the city to identify youngsters with the physical attributes to make a Rugby League player but may not have been reached by the game during their primary school years. In his Leeds career, Chev made 183 appearances and scored 86 tries before switching codes with Bath in 2006. He returned to the thirteen-man code with Hull KR in 2008 where he spent three seasons before moving to Odsal in 2011.
