Leeds opened the scoring inside three minutes, Featherstone forcing the offload and the error brought on by Amy Johnson applying pressure on the inside, Leeds capitalising on the knock on as Orla McCallion darted out of dummy half close to the line, Courtney Winfield-Hill adding the extras.

Leeds went back to back in successive sets, a huge run from forward Zoe Hornby skittled would be tacklers and earned a fast play the ball. Butcher setting up on the right edge to create the numbers and fast hands from Goldthorp sent Tara Moxon haring away down the sideline from 30 metres out to score in the right corner. Winfield-Hill unable to convert.

Featherstone would be punished for a ball steal, the penalty piggybacking Leeds over halfway. Ellie Oldroyd would explode into the backfield off the back of a beautifully delayed Winfield-Hill pass and the Rhinos enforcer powered her way past the fullback to score a superb solo effort despite Featherstone’s best efforts to deny her. Winfield-Hill converted, bringing up a 16-0 scoreline after 11 minutes and notching up her 250th Super League point.

Off the back of hardy defence and facing repeat sets on their own line, the Rhinos would turn defence into attack with huge solo runs. McCallion spotted space on the right to put Butcher through a gap but was denied close to the line, Caitlin Beevers threw a cut out ball to the right touchline for a waiting Fran Goldthorp to cross for a try and her 50th career point, but Winfield-Hill was unable to convert.

Goldthorp continued to terrorise the Featherstone defence, Goldthorp collecting the kick off on her own 30 metre line before weaving and stepping away from nearly the entire team before passing to Frain who found Kerrigan who handed off to Akwiwu on the left wing to score one of the early contenders for try of the season, Winfield-Hill unable to convert the Rhinos leading 24-0 with 20 minutes gone.

Featherstone opted for a short kick off in an attempt to stop the Rhinos scoring spree, the kick finding touch on the full and Leeds continuing to pour on the pressure. The Rovers defence stacked inwards on the fourth tackle as Leeds went from right to left and Hill threw a long ball that bounced up into the arms of Akwiwu for her second try in as many minutes, Hill converting from the left touchline.

The Rhinos continued  on the hunt for points, this time Hanna Butcher would not be denied, the Rhinos five eighth waiting at second receiver, showing the ball to Nuttall on the drop off and dummying wide before slicing through the line herself and scoring in the right corner. Winfield-Hill converted from the right sideline to bring the scoreline up to 36-0.

The game descended into a physical contest with both sides trading blows and taking casualties, Featherstone upping their defensive ferocity but just shy of the hour mark Ellie Oldroyd would power her way to her second of the game off a Courntey WInfield-Hill pass. The Rhinos forward collected the ball and changed direction, carrying two over the line with her to the right of the posts, Winfield-Hill converting to make it 52-0.

Hanna Butcher stepped and fended her way to her second try of the game, the Rhinos number six changing direction and eluding would be tacklers and displaying great strength as she took Hepworth over the line with her close to the posts. Winfield-Hill on hand to add the extras once more.

Fran Goldthorp scored her second try of the game, Courtney Hill the architect of the try once more. Winfield-Hill chipping over the line with a deft kick which sprung up perfectly for Goldthorp who raced through to collect and ground the ball, Winfield-Hill unable to convert from the right.

Zoe Hornby would cap off another superb performance from the former union forward with a try of her own, surging towards the line with three Featherstone defenders on her but still unable to deny the powerhouse at such close quarters, Winfield-Hill converting from in front of the posts to see the Rhinos take out a 72-0 win.
