Leeds Rhinos U16 50 Bradford Bulls U16 12

The Rhinos U16s kept up their unbeaten campaign with an impressive 50-12 win over Bradford Bulls at Stanningley with Jack Walker chalking up 26 points.

The Rhinos open the scoring when skipper Cameron Smith and Kiedan Hartley combined to open up the visitors defence before Nathan Waring finished off out wide.

Bradford levelled the game soon after when full back Joe Brown scored after a break from half way.

Smith once again was on hand to set up the Rhinos next score as he brushed off two would be tacklers to break clear and then put in scrum half Jack Walker for the first of his hat trick on the night. Jack scored his second next, this time making the chance himself with a lovely step 15 metres out before going in between the posts.

Winger Ben Selby scored in the corner after good work by Waring before second row Dyson Nicholson completed the Rhinos first half scoring with a strong run from close range. There was still time left for the Bulls to get a try back before the interval when captain Dan Waite-Pullen scored next to the posts to make the half time score 28-12.

Winger Alex Young opened the scoring at the start of the second half following a wonderful wide pass by Smith before Waring crossed for his second try of the game as the centre made the most of an exciting break by Walker.

Walker completed his hat trick when he supported the break by hooker Harvey Whiteley on half way. Finally Smith got a well deserved try as he dragged three Bradford defenders over the line with him. Walker kicked his seventh goal of the game to bring up the half century and complete the 50-12 win.
