2012 Grand Final winner Shaun Lunt, 32, returned to Leeds Rhinos during the 2019 Betfred Super League season after Leeds Rhinos and Hull Kington Rovers agreed a deal that will see Matt Parcell join the Robins.
Lunt spent the 2012 season on loan with the Rhinos from Huddersfield and was as key part in the Grand Final winning team before returning to the Giants in 2013 and a subsequent move to Hull KR. In total, Shaun made 23 appearances for Leeds and scored nine tries. In a quirk of coincidence, Lunt could make his second debut for the Rhinos against the same opponent and at the same venue this Sunday. Originally, the Cumbrian make his first appearance for the Rhinos on 20th April 2012 against Catalans Dragons at Emerald Headingley and the French side are back in town this Sunday. Lunt is a former Hull Kingston Rovers captain and was Rovers Player of the Year in 2018.
