Starting at Stanley Rangers at the age of six, Nathan Copley made the move to Siddal where he won three BARLA Cups, two Challenge Cups and a National Cup, which he regards as his most memorable rugby moment.
In his first year in Leeds’ scholarship, Copley played three times, starting in high scoring wins against Newcastle Thunder and Wakefield Trinity. He also came off the bench to score his only try of the season in the final match against Warrington Wolves. For 2020, Nathan is looking to develop his speed and agility.
Off the field, the Outwood Grange Academy student would play darts professionally because of the electric atmosphere and an interesting fact about him is that he’s got Johnathan Thurston’s match worn boots. His favourite sportsperson is Castleford’s Jake Trueman and his favourite movie quote is ‘It ain’t how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward’ from Rocky.
