Rhinos Netball NPL Squad 2022: Under-19s

Former clubs: Leeds Athletic

England Under-19s international Lydia Harrison first started playing netball with her sister at Kingston netball club. She also competed in a shooting competition for Yorkshire jets and won. She went on to play for Leeds Athletic and was included in Rhinos Netball’s Under-17s elite squad for 2019/20.

Internationally, she was named as a reserve for the U21 Europe Netball squad November 2021 and in 2022, she was a part of England’s Under-17s squad that competed at the Europe Netball U17 Championship. Her most memorable netball moment though was playing in her first ever game for England against Wales, which was a dream come true.

Harrison is inspired by former Rhinos director of netball Anna Carter and current first team assistant coach Maggie Burkinshaw as they pushed her to play with passion and dedication and the duo also coached her since she was 9. She also looks up to five time VNSL winner and pundit Tamsin Greenway.

She currently attends South Hunsley Sixth Form College.
