League Leaders Shield 2018

A former cricketer in Australia, Courtney signed up after emigrating to England in 2018. After not playing competitive RL before, she quickly took to the role of half back and has settled into being a key cog in the Rhinos team. Her professional attitude has earned her the respect of the whole squad and staff and due to this, shares the captaincy with Lois Forsell.

She made her debut in their second fixture against Wigan Warriors and became a mainstay of the team over the season, missing just one game.

In her debut campaign Courtney was one of the stand out players and crossed for seven tries and registered 65 goals as the team’s first choice kicker.  The scrum half showed her strong leadership skills throughout the campaign and in 2019 was named captain.

Prior to joining the Rhinos, Courtney had played cricket as a fast pace bowler for Queensland Fire and Brisbane Heat, playing in the Women’s Big Bash League Season.  A schoolteacher by profession, Hill now works as a cricket coach. In 2014, she took up professional sprinting, and, in her debut performance, won the 100m Ladies Gift at the 33rd annual Winter Carnival. In 2015, she competed in Australia’s premiere handicap sprint, the Stawell Gift.
