Billy Davies

Birth Place
Loose Forward

Loose forward Billy Davies played his junior rugby league at Siddal prior to being scouted for the Rhinos.

He was part of the side that won three BARLA Cups, two Challenge Cups and, notably, a National Cup, which is Billy’s most memorable rugby moment. He joined Leeds’ scholarship squad in 2019, along with six of his Siddal teammates, and made three appearances throughout the season. Debuting against Newcastle, the loose forward was one of six try scorers in the 40-20 win and went on to feature against Castleford and City of Hull. He also started against NSW Country Rugby League at the end of the season.

As one of eight players to sign for the Rhinos Academy in 2021, after only one year in the Under-16s, Davies was given the chance to further his development in a handful of Under-17s fixtures and he excelled. Starting all three games at second row or loose forward, he made holes in the Hull FC, London Broncos and Wigan Warriors defences and also scored against the Broncos at Emerald Headingley.
