Leeds Rhinos signed forward Anthony Mullally from Huddersfield Giants on a three-year contract ahead of the 2016 season.  There was an early chance for Rhinos fans to get a look at the Irish international, with the prop making his debut for the Rhinos against New Zealand at the end of the 2015 season.

His debut for the club came in the World Club Challenge fixture against North Queensland Cowboys and he went on to make 17 appearances for the club.  He also spent time playing with Featherstone Rovers during 2016 on dual registration, helping them reach the Super 8s qualifiers. He enjoyed a memorable 2017 season with the Rhinos and earned a regular first team place, missing just one game.

He scored two tries in the Super 8s and then crossed for a crucial try in the semi-final game against Hull FC which secured the Rhinos their place in the Grand Final and finished the season as part of the successful Grand Final winning squad and then played in all three of Ireland’s game in the World Cup in Australia. Originally from Widnes, Anthony came through the Academy ranks at his hometown club having signed professionally from Widnes Moorfield amateur club.

He made his debut for the Vikings when he was just 17 in the Challenge Cup third round win over Saddleworth Rangers in 2009. He then spent time at Brisbane Broncos before returning to Widnes following their promotion to Super League in 2012, making a further ten appearances off the bench. The following year he joined Huddersfield Giants, making ten appearances in his first season in 2013.

He finished the season as part of the Ireland World Cup squad, appearing as a replacement against England and Fiji before starting against Australia in the final pool game. At the start of the 2014 season, he had a spell on loan at Bradford, making six appearances, before returning to the Giants and finishing the season with 12 more appearances and crossing for three tries. In his final season at the Giants he played eight times and registered one try and finished the season on loan at Wakefield where he made a further five appearances.

In his spare time he is a keen traveller and in 2016 started his own travelling blog mullweb.wordpress.com In 2017 Mullally gained notoriety when he became a vegan after being a vegetarian for the previous two years and featured in a Hello magazine speaking about on veganism in professional sport. In 2018 he opened a Vegan Café in Headingley.
