Ryan Hall was always destined to be involved in the biggest of games for the Rhinos from his debut through to the many finals he chalked up in over 300 appearances for the club, and the winger made his return to his hometown club for the 2025 season.

Hall came off the bench to make his debut at the Millennium Magic game against Bradford down in Cardiff in 2007 when Jordan Tansey famously sealed victory in the final seconds. He almost immediately became a regular in the Rhinos squad despite being a late comer to the pro game having been spotted playing open age at Oulton Raiders.

He missed out on the Grand Final that season but after impressing in 2008, scoring nine tries in fifteen starting appearances, he was included in Brian McClennan's team that faced St Helens once again; Hall scoring in the 24-16 victory at Old Trafford. Two more Grand Final rings in 2009 and 2011 followed before he scored two tries, including a sensational long range interception, in his first World Club Challenge to help Leeds beat Manly Sea Eagles. That season he scored his highest try tally of 33.

He won the Lance Todd Trophy in 2014 with a two-try man of the match performance to bring the Challenge Cup trophy back to Headingley for the first time in 15 years. However, he will be best remembered for his last gasp try against Huddersfield to seal the 2015 League Leaders Shield that kept the dream of the Treble alive.

By the time he left the Rhinos at the end of the 2018 season to join NRL’s Sydney Roosters, he was the club’s fifth highest try scorer of all time with 233 tries in 330 appearances for the club. After a brief spell in the NRL, in which he made 11 appearances over two season, he arrived back in Super League with Hull KR and played four seasons at Sewell Group Craven Park. His try scoring antics saw the winger score 62 tries in 104 games, plus he returned to the Grand Final in 2024 with the Robins.

On the international stage, Hall became a superstar of the code, crossing for his 35th try for England against New Zealand in Denver on the occasion of his 38th cap.
