Arriving largely unheralded, despite missing the 2001 Grand Final with Parramatta only through injury, Townsville-born winger Scott Donald left an indelible mark on Rhinos history.

Prolific throughout his career with North Queensland, the Eels and Manly – posting 48 tries in 68 games for the Sea Eagles before arriving at Headingley – he scored one of the greatest wingers’ tries on the biggest stage during the 2007 Grand Final defeat of St Helens; his gliding pace taking him away from the cover and on the outside of hapless Paul Wellens for a classic score.

The following season, the durable poacher - who was an ever-present in his first three of five campaigns in the blue and amber, and holds the club record for most consecutive starting appearances, with 92 - scored Leeds’s only try at Elland Road as Melbourne were beaten in the World Club Challenge, also making the SL Dream Team for a second successive year.

He added a third Grand Final ring in 2009 and, somewhat surprisingly, returned home in 2010 to take up a post in the Queensland police force.

He ended his career with an astonishing try ratio of two touchdowns in every three games.
