A brilliant addition to the Rhinos squad by Gary Hetherington when he arrived from Sheffield Eagles in 1997. A belligerent no-nonsense scrum half, he gave the Rhinos backline the direction required. A perfect foil to the individual brilliance of Iestyn Harris, he was at his best in the 1999 Challenge Cup run when he was man of the match against Wigan, St Helens and Bradford and had won the vote for the Lance Todd Trophy just before Leroy Rivett completed his hat trick. He left Leeds in 2001 to join Widnes but made 154 appearances in total.
