A six-time Grand Final winner, forward Ryan Bailey came through the Academy ranks at the Rhinos and was a key part of the golden generation of players.

Starting his career with Leeds in 2002, Bailey became one of the sport’s greatest love-to-hate characters following his tough, uncompromising performances down the middle in blue and amber. A fierce competitor, he achieved an incredible haul of success in his 13 years at the club with three World titles, two League Leaders Shields and a Challenge Cup to his name.

By 2004, he was a regular in Tony Smith's side, starting 21 matches including the 2004 Grand Final win over Bradford. For the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 finals, Bailey was an impact off the bench, claiming four more Grand Final rings. He was back in the starting side in 2012, lining up with 'Bash Brother' Brett Delaney in the back row along with stalwart Jamie Jones-Buchanan as the Rhinos ran out 26-18 victors against Warrington.

In his final season at the club, he finally added a Challenge Cup winners medal to his list of accolades. Playing in defeats against Warrington (2010 and 2012), Wigan (2011) and Hull FC (2005), the prop finally got his hands on the cup for the first time; the Rhinos beating Castleford 23-11.

Spells with Hull KR, Castleford and Warrington followed, played for the latter in the 2016 Grand Final, before finishing his career at Toronto, Workington and Leigh, making a total of 362 career appearances before he retired at the start of 2019.
