Here's a closer look at Trinity:

Key Playmakers

Caleb Hamlin-Uele

Club Apps: 68 | Points: 14

Honoured for his performances in 2026 with a spot in Brian McDermott's first England squad, very few props have been as impactful in 2026 as Wakefield's Hamlin-Uele.

Signed during the club's Championship season in 2024 after playing Reserves grade for Newtown in Australia, he has been a revelation as part of head coach Daryl Powell's power forward pack, as he played 29 out of 36 games during his debut season, and proceeded to feature 15 times and score four tries in his first Super League season. This year, he has been equally impactful: not only has he played 24 games, but he also leads the side in carries, metres, and post-contact metres, and is second to Smoothy in tackles.

Tyson Smoothy

Club Apps: 22 | Tries: 8

Aside from being the club's top tackler with 700 this campaign, NRL Grand Final winner Smoothy has had a huge impact on his first season at the DIY Kitchens Stadium.

Brought in as one of the competition's top signings of the off-season, the former Brisbane Bronco has been vital in Powell's spine and created a slick combination with Jake Trueman in the halves. Only Trueman's 25 try assists betters Smoothy, who has nine assists, as well as a wider 14 try involvements, plus he is one of the league's leading number nines for offloads and tackles.

Josh Rourke

Club Apps: 32 | Tries: 76

Picked up from London Broncos after a stellar season in 2024, full back Rourke has worked his way into a regular at the full back position for Trinity this season.

Battling with homegrown talent Max Jowitt, Rourke has been starting full back for the last five weeks and returned five wins against Castleford twice, Hull KR, Bradford and Catalans. This season, he has only lost three times as part of a Wakefield side - one of those being the 40-22 defeat at the hands of the Rhinos back in round 10. His try-scoring form has seen him touch down nine times as he closes in on his personal single-season record of 11 tries with Whitehaven back in 2023, but expect him to be in and around a lot of Trinity's try-scoring opportunities as he has 24 involvements in tries scored in Super League this season.
