21 man squad confirmed for Vegas clash

Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Brad Arthur has confirmed the 21 man squad for Las Vegas for the Rhinos Betfred Super League Round 3 clash with Hull KR at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas at midnight on Sunday 1st March.

The squad will come as no surprise to anyone with the Rhinos having named the 21 players who have travelled to the States last Sunday however in his pre-match press conference, Head Coach Brad Arthur suggested there could be changes to the team that defeated York Knights at AMT Headingley with captain Ash Handley set to prove his fitness for selection on Thursday in Vegas.

Handley ran with the team during the first training session on Wednesday and Arthur confirmed that the skipper had posted the highest scores on the GPS dated tracked for the side in that practise.

All 17 players who featured in Friday night's win over York Knights at AMT Headingley are included. Handley has not played since suffering a groin injury in Cameron Smith's Testimonial game against Bradford Bulls back in January.

The squad is completed by teenager half back George Brown, who turned 19 last Friday, and props Tom Nicholson-Watton and Ben Littlewood. All three played for the Rhinos Reserves in their 18-18 draw with Wakefield Trinity at Stanningley on Saturday. England international Mikolaj Oledzki has travelled with the squad but will not be available for selection as he recovers from a rib injury suffered in the Betfred Challenge Cup win at Widnes Vikings.
