Rhinos set to travel to Wakefield in Betfred Challenge Cup 4th round
Leeds Rhinos have been drawn away to Super League rivals Wakefield Trinity in the pick of the ties in the Betfred Challenge Cup Fourth Round.
Fourth Round ties will be played on the weekend of March 14-15. The Rhinos booked their spot in the next round with a 25-12 win at Widnes whereas Daryl Powell's side progressed with an emphatic 82-6 win at Swinton.
The two teams have a long history in the Challenge Cup going back to 1903 when Leeds won the first ever meeting on 21st February 1903 13-0 at Belle Vue.
The most famous game was back in 1968 in the infamous Watersplash Final at Wembley when Leeds won 11-10.
The teams have met three times in the Challenge Cup in the summer era in 2002, 2012 and 2014. Leeds have won all three games including the last meeting on their way to winning the Cup in 2014, when two tries each from Carl Ablett, Rob Burrow and Ryan Hall helped the Rhinos on their way to a 60-6 win at the DIY Kitchens Stadium.
The teams met three times last season with Wakefield holding sway with two wins on their return to Super League.
