Sinfield video goes viral on social media with over 1 million views and rising!
As well as raising millions for MND charities with his epic running challenges, Rugby League legend Kevin Sinfield is now gaining millions of views on social media after a video of him dodging an over-excited supporter has gone viral.
The video from Day 5 of the challenge in Cumbria shows a well wisher dashing out from behind a car looking to get an autograph from Sinfield midway through his fifth ultra marathon. Sinfield re-produced his fancy footwork from his playing days to avoid what could have been a nightmare accident had he suffered an injury with two days to go in the 7 in 7: Together challenge.
The video is set to surpass 1 million views on Leeds Rhinos TikTok channel, the first time the account has had a seven figure hit with over 840,000 views across Meta platforms on Instagram and Facebook in addition.
The clip was filmed as part of the official documentary of the challenge produced once again by Leeds-based production company RAM Films, who are part of Sinfield’s team and have recorded every step over the last six years.
Sinfield and his 7 in 7 team have once again raised an incredible amount for the MND community. The current total stands at £1.35 million and continues to climb in the run up to Christmas. Commenting on the viral hit, Leeds Rhinos Head of Media & PR Phil Daly said, “Kevin has done so much to raise the profile of MND over the last six years so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that people have really connected with this clip. The commentary from Martin Wolstencroft in our 7 in 7 team really makes it and sums up the unique nature of the team that Kevin has created. What could have been a really stressful situation is immediately dissolved with a bit of humour and nothing stops Kevin from his drive to raise as much money and awareness for MND.”
