The 745 Game is back this Sunday

The 745 Game, created in tribute to Rob Burrow CBE (No. 7), Ed Slater (No. 4) and Doddie Weir OBE (No. 5), is more than a rugby match. It unites rugby union and rugby league legends in support of three incredible MND beneficiaries: the 4Ed Foundation, The Rob Burrow Discretionary Fund and My Name'5 Doddie Foundation. It will be live on TNT Sports 1 and streamed via discovery+ this Sunday, 9th November.

The 745 Game at Kingsholm Stadium will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 1 and streamed on discovery+ on Sunday immediately following the Wales v Argentina fixture in the Quilter Nations Series.

To accommodate the broadcast, the kick-off time has been moved from 3pm to 5:40pm. This prime-time slot ensures The 745 Game will reach an engaged national rugby audience across the UK and Ireland, amplifying its message and mission to raise awareness and vital funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The 745 Game, created in tribute to Rob Burrow CBE (No. 7), Ed Slater (No. 4) and Doddie Weir OBE (No. 5), is more than a rugby match. The game unites rugby union and rugby league legends in support of three incredible MND beneficiaries: the 4Ed Foundation, The Rob Burrow Discretionary Fund and My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.

This year’s game at Kingsholm Stadium, the home of Ed Slater’s former club, Gloucester Rugby, promises another unforgettable day of sport, solidarity, and fundraising. The TNT Sports partnership marks a significant milestone in the event’s growth, bringing its powerful message to homes across the UK and Ireland.

Ed Slater, on behalf of #4Ed, recognised TNT Sports for their support of the game: "This is a brilliant milestone to see The 745 Game broadcast on national television.  From funding extensive research to offering monetary grants for essential equipment and supporting smaller MND charities, this game aims to change lives. We are thankful to TNT Sports for helping us take this game, and its mission, to millions of people across the United Kingdom."

Scott Young, EVP Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe said: "We are proud to provide the platform to tell such an important story in support of such a worthy cause. Through our passionate rugby audiences, we are able to amplify the message to ensure it resonates as deeply as possible.
"But this is a message that transcends sport, this is about changing and impacting lives, and we are privileged to play a small part to support the exemplary work Ed and the team do across the foundations all year round - it’s truly remarkable. We will do our utmost to encourage people to tune in for what will no doubt be another great event."

Every ticket sold will help in raising money for those living with MND and will be split between three beneficiaries, with one being the 4ED Foundation.

Thanks to the incredible generosity so far, the Foundation has now distributed £151,588 in grants directly helping those who need it most.

In total, 85 grants have been awarded, each averaging £1,746.85 to support vital needs such as:

  • Home adaptations to make everyday life more accessible
  • Home equipment to improve comfort and independence
  • Family holidays offering cherished moments and respite

These grants have reached families far and wide, with recipients in Gloucestershire (17), Kent (7), and Leicestershire (5), and many more across the UK.

Every ticket sold for the 745 fixture helps sustain this life-changing work. Get your tickets here and be part of something special.
