Leeds Rhinos 2025 season: The Stats

With the 2025 Betfred Super League season complete and in the record books, this season has statistically been one of Leeds' best on the field.

Using data collected each season by Opta's ProRugby Hub, the club has compared player and team totals against previous years and teams around the league to find how individual performances have led to on-field success.

Here are some of the key performers and stats from the 2025 Super League season:

POINTS

Top Try Scorers: Ryan Hall (13), Harry Newman (12), Riley Lumb (11)

Top Goal Scorers: Jake Connor (93), Lachie Miller (17), Jack Sinfield (2)

Top Points Scorers: Jake Connor (291), Lachie Miller (70), Ryan Hall (52)

It's no surprise to Rhinos fans to see Ryan Hall back at the top of the try charts as the winger crossed 13 times in all competitions in 2025, but the winger shared the workload across the team as only seven players who made an appearance for the club this season didn't record a try.

Alongside Hall, Harry Newman enjoyed his best try scoring season as the England international hit double figures for the first time in blue and amber. Having recorded a season high eight tries in 2024, Newman stretched his tally to 12 with scores against Wakefield, St Helens, Castleford, Leigh, Salford, Hull KR and Huddersfield. Riley Lumb's strong start to the season saw the winger finish third overall with 11 tries, all of which came between the opening Challenge Cup game of the season against Wests Warriors up until the round 15 clash away at St Helens,

No player could match Jake Connor for goals and points in the Rhinos camp as the Man of Steel's 291 total points in 2025 was the best by a Rhinos player in a single season since Kevin Sinfield finished the 2012 season with 369 points. Only Hull KR's Arthur Mourgue pipped Connor in goals in the Super League competition as the Robins full back kicked 80 goals compared to Connors 76. Wakefield's Max Jowitt joined Mourgue as the only two players in Super League to score more points in the competition than the Leeds half back, who enjoyed a stellar campaign (more to come!)

ATTACK

Before delving into individual performances, the Rhinos collectivley had one of their best seasons with ball in hand compared against their last five seasons - including the 2022 Grand Final run.

2025 saw Brad Arthur's side have the most total attacking touches, tackle breaks and offloads, plus the season ranks second only behind 2022 in metres, carries, tries and line breaks - due to the Rhinos playing 30 games on their way to Old Trafford as opposed to 28 games in 2025.

Try Assists - Jake Connor (34 assists)

Connor's contributions went beyond his own personal points tally in 2025, as he recorded the most try assists by a Leeds player this season with 34 assists. Only beaten by his own season high of 36 try assists in 2022 whilst at Hull FC, Connor created for his team mates around him, including standout performances against Salford in round 19 his former side Hull in round 24 when he assisted four tries in high scoring wins.

Compared to his competition in Super League, Leigh's Lachlan Lam finished ahead of Connor with 49 assists across the season, but the half back's performances earned him a well earned second place.

Elsewhere at Leeds, testimonial man Ash Handley's move into the centres saw him finish the year with 14 assists and his highest tally since he joined the Rhinos in 2014. Brodie Croft was closely behind with 13 assists.

Carries & Metres- Lachie Miller (526 carries, 4,516 metres)

One of the Rhinos' most improved players on the stats sheet was full back Lachie Miller, who made a huge leap in his second season at AMT Headingley.

Miller finished the year 126 carries and 1,432 metres ahead of the next best Leeds player Ryan Hall, plus the full back's carries and metres in 2025 is also the best recorded by a Rhinos player since 2020 (beating his own tally from 2023). Standout games for Miller included the home clash against St Helens when he carried the ball 34 times for 211 metres in a tight 6-0 loss, as well as the win over Hull KR at AMT Headingley when he scored a try and made 30 carries. He was the only Super League player in 2025 to make 300+ metres too - which came against Castleford Tigers in round 12.

The Rhinos outside backs enjoyed the season with ball in hand - Hall finishing with 3,084 metres from 400 carries, Newman recording 2,622 metres from 375 metres, and Handley finishing the year with 2,850 metres and 366 carries.

What about the forwards? Kallum Watkins ranked highest for ball carries with 321, plus James McDonnell and Keenan Palasia also finished the year having touched the ball over 300 times each. McDonnell, who finished the year as a Super League Dream Teamer, was Leeds' highest ranking forward for metres with 2,078, whilst Watkins, Palasia and Mikolaj Oledzki also made their presence known with over 1,900 metres each.

Offloads - Harry Newman (44 offloads)

One offload was the decider by the season's conclusion, but Harry Newman made sure to finish the campaign as the Rhinos' leader in this metric.

Having ranked highly since he finished the 2023 season with 39 offloads, Newman set a career high 44 offloads across the 2025 campaign - his highest in one game being five offloads in the play off eliminator against St Helens. He also recorded three offloads in six other games to beat Kallum Watkins, who finished the year with 43 offloads.

Line & Tackle Breaks - Lachie Miller (17 line breaks, 208 tackle breaks)

Miller's speed and evasivness saw the full back top the line break and tackle break counts from a Rhinos perspective as the full back continued his strong form in 2025.

No player broke more tackles than Miller in the Super League competition as his tally of 208 was 33 better than the next best (Leigh's Tesi Niu and Catalans' Nick Cotric both finished the year with 175). It didn't beat his total of 215 tackle breaks in 2024, but nevertheless he is still the only Super League player in the last year to finish the year with over 200 in total. Miller's line breaks total is also the best by a Leeds player since Ash Handley finished the 2022 season with 20 breaks (only three more than Miller's 2025 total).

Sam Lisone was also amongst the prominent Leeds players in both these metrics, notably finishing fourth amongst Super League forwards with 95 breaks (which is also a career high during his three-year spell at Leeds).

DEFENCE

The Rhinos have also enjoyed their cleanest defensive spell in a Super League season as they only conceded 310 points in the league competition after 27 rounds. That's the least points a Leeds side has had scored against them since the 1965-66 season when Leeds finished sixth with only 295 points scored against them.

Comparing against the last five years (as done above), Leeds' 2025 season ranks only behind 2022 in terms of tackles made (9,717 in 2022 compared with 9,317 in 2025) but the Rhinos were cleaner this year as they only missed 846 tackles. Wakefield Trinity were the only team to miss less tackles (789).

Focusing on individual performances, Jarrod O'Connor led the Rhinos charge with 1,086 tackles in total, which is his highest tally during a single season at Leeds plus it also ranks as the fifth highest in the Super League competition in the last five years. James McDonnell's final tally of 1,027 is also a highlight from the season as the second rower ranks third behind Cameron Smith's 1,031 tackles in 2023 and O'Connor's 2025 tally.
