Ackers leaves Rhinos to join Bradford Bulls

Leeds Rhinos have released hooker Andy Ackers, 31, from the remaining year of his contract to enable the England international to join Bradford Bulls with immediate effect. 
 
Ackers joined the Rhinos in 2024 from Salford Red Devils and has made 35 appearances for the club since then. However, only ten of those of come this season, with just seven in the starting line up in 2025. 
 
Leeds Rhinos Sporting Director Ian Blease commented, “We have agreed to Andy’s request for a release to enable him to take up another option for next season. On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank Andy for his efforts for the Rhinos and we wish him and his young family all the best with their future."
