Everything you need to know about...Huddersfield Giants

The ACCU Stadium plays host to Leeds Rhinos' round 25 clash against Huddersfield Giants as the Rhinos look to maintain their winning run in the league against a Giants side who have been building in confidence in recent weeks.
Here's more on our opposition, Huddersfield Giants:
2025: Early defeats put end to season, but positive signs there for 2026
Huddersfield's start of the Super League season ended the Giants' hopes of a potential top-six finish for the first time since 2023, but recent results have given the Cowbell Army reason for optimism as the club continues under Luke Robinson's leadership.
Putting the first 15 rounds aside, as the club won only two games across the Super League and Challenge Cup competitions, Robinson has overcome injuries across his squad and poor results to start to see what his team can produce. In their last ten games, the Giants have won five of them, including two victories over Warrington as well as results against Castleford, Hull FC and Catalans to rise up the rankings from bottom to tenth. A win over Hull FC faltered the Black and Whites' hopes of a top six finish in round 20, whilst wins over Sam Burgess' Wolves in particular has seen the Giants forward pack make considerable metres, whilst hooker Zac Woolford finished both matches as the leading tackler with 48 and 50 tackles in both contests.
This season has seen Robinson promote from within where possible to contest with injuries to Adam Clune, Tui Lolohea, Liam Sutcliffe and Sam Hewitt. George Flanagan Jr is the leading name amongst the young talent being fast-tracked through the Giants system who has stepped up, but Kieran Rush (who celebrated his 23rd birthday this week) has also been a reliable half back with 15 appearances this season, plus Archie Sykes, Jacob Algar and Marshall Land have all made their Super League debuts in Huddersfield colours in 2025.
With focus now shifting slowly towards 2026, the Giants have a chance to finish the campaign strong with home games against the Rhinos and Salford Red Devils in September before they close the year out with a clash against another play off hopeful, Leigh Leopards, in a game that could have remifications to the final league positioning of the Leopards, Rhinos, Saints and Warriors.

Round 24 Review
Take a look at the highlights:
Key Names
George Flanagan Jr - The 20-year-old has rugby league in his DNA and has inspired the Giants' attack in his first senior season. In 22 games in all competitions, the half-back has the joint most tries by a Giants player this year (10) and has been confident with the kicking tee too as he's slotted 40 conversions. No Huddersfield player has more line breaks that Flanagan either as he has 12 this campaign.
Jacob Gagai - The Giants' other leading try scorer Jacob Gagai has enjoyed his first season in claret and gold after joining from South Sydney Rabbitohs in the off-season. Aside from scoring ten tries - the most tries he's scored in a single season in the full back's career - Gagai has also led the Huddersfield backs in carries (297 in total) and leads the side in metres and tackle breaks too.
Taane Milne - Another NRL import, Fijian international Taane Milne, has been a tough to stop in the centres as he has the most offloads, carries and post contact metres in the side this year. Milne was another recruit from South Sydney at the start of the year, having also played in the NRL for NZ Warriors and St George Illawarra Dragons.
