Warrington Wolves Women forfeit Leeds Rhinos fixture

Warrington Wolves have informed the Rugby Football League that they will forfeit the Betfred Women’s Super League fixture against Leeds Rhinos that was scheduled for Sunday (31 August).

Warrington notified the RFL on Wednesday that due to a number of injuries and player availability issues, they are unable to name a full team.

The match will not be rearranged, given the stage of the season, and will be awarded to Leeds Rhinos with a 48-0 scoreline.

The RFL Board will consider whether to take further action against Warrington.
