Here's more on our opposition, St Helens:
2025: Top four push is on
After a period out of form, a single loss in their last seven games has boosted St Helens back into top-four contention with ten games left in the season.
An 18-4 triumph over the Rhinos three weeks ago continued a winning run for Paul Wellens' side that also included two hefty wins over Salford Red Devils and a 13-6 result against Hull FC last time out. The run of four consecutive wins has now put the side only two points behind Leeds heading into this Friday's game as they have a chance to close the gap to a potential top four spot with six home games remaining.
Since losing out to Hull KR 20-10 in round four, the side had mixed results in all competitions, losing five of their next eight games after starting the season with a perfect four wins from four. Warrington have proved to be a particularly pointy thorn in the Red Vee's side as the Wolves have come away as victors on three occasions between March and April with a 14-12 win at the Totally Wicked Stadium, a 32-18 triumph at the Halliwell Jones and a 20-12 quarter final result to knock Saints out of the Betfred Challenge Cup. Wigan proved tricky in round eight as well as one of the in-form sides in Super League continued their run of four straight wins against their local rivals, but a resurgence in form between rounds 11 and 17 has firmly put the club back in the Play Off talks.
Home form comes into play for Saints down the stretch as they have six home outings and three away games after this week's game against Leeds. Leigh and Castleford both travel to the Totally Wicked Stadium in back to back games before Wakefield host the Red Vee in August. Huddersfield, Hull FC, Wigan and the Tigers all have to visit Saints too when the season reaches boiling point.

Round Seventeen Review
Take a look at the highlights:
Key Names
Jonny Lomax - With Jack Welsby sidelined for the next 16 weeks and George Whitby leaving the field against Salford, Saints stalwart Jonny Lomax will be a key player for the Red Vee on Friday. He has two tries and six try assists this year, plus he has slotted two drop goals.
Kyle Feldt - Feldt's return against Salford in round 14 has seen the winger take on the points-scoring responsibility. He has nine tries during Saints' run of four wins, plus he has been handy with the boot, converting six goals too to move into the top three points scorers at the club this season.
Matty Lees - Saints current top tackler Matty Lees comes into this week's game after making 147 tackles in his last three games. The prop is in his ninth season as a Saint, and has only lost three times to the Rhinos in his career.
