Next Up: Leigh Leopards

Next up for Leeds Rhinos, Brad Arthur's side welcome Leigh Leopards to AMT Headingley in round sixteen of the Betfred Super League, kick off 8pm.

Here's your match preview for the fixture:

Opposition Overview

After finishing fifth and missing out on a top-four spot twice since they were promoted back to the Betfred Super League in 2023, Leigh Leopards have made sure they've been one of the leading sides out of the gates in 2025. With 15 rounds in the books, they sit fourth and can close the gap to this week's opponents should they come away from Headingley victorious.

The Leopards' season, like any, has had its mixture of results. Adrian Lam's side opened the season's campaign with a five-game unbeaten run to sit top of the table - that run included the memorable 1-0 golden point win over the reigning Champions Wigan in round one. Also putting Huddersfield, Catalans and Batley (the latter in the Cup) to the sword too, they had to take a point from the MKM Stadium as Hull FC mounted a comeback to share the league points before losing back-to-back games at the hands of Wakefield and Hull KR.

Another five-game winning run ensued, kick-started by a revenge win over Wakefield in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals. The try scoring of new signings David Armstrong and Tesi Niu saw Castleford, Catalans, Salford and Warrington also get dismantled as the Leopards moved up to second in the table, but another drop off in form saw the Wire knock Leigh out of the Cup alongside wins for Wigan and Hull FC. Lam's empowered his side to find their winning streak again though and they arrive at AMT Headingley with three wins against the Giants, Trinity and Catalans heading into round 15.
