Rhinos Diary: What's on this week

This week at the Rhinos, fans can enjoy five straight days of action as the Men's and Women's first teams, Wheelchair, Scholarship and Reserves all take to the field between Thursday and Sunday.

James Simpson's Wheelchair side open their season on Saturday as they take on one of the newest faces in Wheelchair Super League, Edinburgh, whilst the Reserves, Women and Men's teams look to carry their wins from last week into games this week.

Wednesday 18th June

Wakefield Trinity Under-16s Scholarship vs Leeds Rhinos Under-16s Scholarship

Wednesday night sees Leeds Rhinos Scholarship return to action for the first time in over a month as Mark Butterill's side take on Wakefield Trinity Scholarship at The DIY Kitchens Stadium, KO 7pm.

The Rhinos suffered a 24-16 loss to Huddersfield last time out at AMT Headingley at the start of May, so this week gives them a chance to rediscover their early-season form that saw them beat Hull FC, Bradford and Leigh. Wakefield's Scholars have had mixed results with two wins and two losses - their most recent being a 26-16 win on the road against Salford.

 

Thursday 19th June

Leeds Rhinos Reserves vs Wakefield Trinity Reserves

Back-to-back outings for Leeds Rhinos Reserves sees Chev Walker's side clash with Wakefield Trinity Reserves on Thursday night at Stanningley, KO 7pm.

After their clash with Warrington Wolves at AMT Headingley on Saturday, the Rhinos look to open a gap at the top of the table as they're level on 12 points with Hull FC who have played a game more than Walker's side. They face a Wakefield side that have been in good form in 2025, as they have won four out of six and come into this Thursday's game off the back of a 22-22 draw with Bradford last time out.

 

Friday 20th June

St Helens vs Leeds Rhinos

Friday night action pits Leeds Rhinos up against St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium in the third meeting between the two clubs in 2025, kick off 8pm.

Both sides have one win against each other so far this year, having already met in the Challenge Cup and Magic Weekend earlier this year. After securing their fifth consecutive win in a row for the first time since 2022, the Rhinos look to build on their positive performance against the Wolves at the Totally Wicked Stadium. A win over Salford saw St Helens hold their place in the top six as they close down Leigh Leopards in fourth.

Saturday 21st June

Edinburgh Giants vs Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair

Following the conclusion of the Betfred Challenge Cup competition last weekend, Saturday sees the return of the Betfred Wheelchair Super League season as Leeds Rhinos open their campaign against new side Edinburgh Giants at The University of Edinburgh, kick off 2.30pm.

The reigning Grand Final champions have their sights set on a fifth consecutive Grand Final appearance later this year, and can make a strong start against Edinburgh on the road. The Giants are one of two new sides in the Wheelchair competition this year, along with Sheffield Eagles, and can make a winning start on home soil against the Champions.

 

Sunday 22nd June

Leeds Rhinos Women vs Barrow Raiders Women

West Park Leeds hosts this Sunday's Betfred Women's Super League clash between Leeds Rhinos Women and Barrow Raiders as the Rhinos look to gather momentum off the back of a record win over Warrington last time out, kick off 12pm.

Lois Forsell's side were convincing in their 110-0 demolition of the Wolves to get their first win of the campaign and now look ahead to Barrow side that they beat twice last year. The Raiders have one win after four rounds (also against the Wolves), and look to restrict Leeds to less than the 68 points they conceded away to the Rhinos in 2024.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online at tickets.therhinos.co.uk, or on matchday, tickets will be available to purchase at the entry gate (cash or card payments available. Subject to availability).

Entry is FREE for Rhinos 2025 Season Members, but otherwise entry is £10 for Adults and Free for Juniors (16 and under).
