Everything you need to know about... Castleford Tigers

There are four days to go until Castleford Tigers host the Rhinos at The Jungle as the Fords look to stop Brad Arthur's side, who have started picking up some winning form in recent weeks, live on BBC Sport, KO 2.30pm.
Three of the last five visits to The Jungle have been won by Leeds, including last year's 26-6 result, and the Rhinos also enter round 12 in good form having lost once in their last five fixtures. Castleford bounced back from a tough start to 2025 with two wins in their last three games, and look to upset their Yorkshire rivals on Saturday.
Let's take a closer look at Saturday's opponents here:
2025: A new beginning
11 games into his tenure at Castleford, Danny McGuire has rode the tough tests thrown at the Tigers so far and the club finds itself four points clear of the bottom two and two wins away from catching Warrington and Catalans above them.
Their first of three clashes with Leeds was part of a four-game losing streak at the beginning of the 2025 campaign. A missed conversion by Tex Hoy in the closing stages against Bradford saw the Fords bow out of the Cup but the Tigers roared back by taking last year's Grand Finalists Hull KR to golden point in an eventual 19-18 defeat. St Helens posted 40 points in round two and Leeds came away from AMT Headingley with a seven-try triumph before Cas managed to claim their first win over Salford by eight points.
Despite going on a run of four more defeats, including to neighbours Wakefield in Rivals Round as well as later at Magic Weekend, the Tigers have picked up points when required. They were free-scoring against Huddersfield thanks to a brace from Innes Senior, in a 30-12 win, and they added more points against Salford last time out when Tex Hoy's hat trick almost saw McGuire's side hit 50 points against the Red Devils.
Part of Castleford's upturn in performances has been the personnel they've been able to bring in to bolster the squad. Since the season began, eight players have come in on loan or short-term deals including Ben Davies, Lee Kershaw and Jordan Dezaria who have since returned to their parent clubs. Brad Singleton and Chris Atkin moved from Salford to add prop and half back options, plus Tom Amone has been a starter since he started his loan move ahead of a transfer to Hull KR in 2026.

Round eleven review
Key Names
Innes Senior - After starting his try scoring for the year against Leeds back in March, Innes Senior now leads Castleford's try scoring charts with five this year. He recorded two against his former club, Huddersfield, in round nine and was also a scorer against Salford last time out, plus he leads the Tigers in line breaks and has the third most metres by a Tigers player in 2025.
Tex Hoy - Hoy's first full season as a Tiger sees the full back lead the club in points scored and he hasn't missed a game in any competition so far in 2025. Since moving from Hull FC midway through the 2024 season, the full back has been one of the club's leading metre makers and ball carriers, and he also has eight try assists which is the most by a Castleford player in Super League this season.
George Lawler - A consistent defender, Lawler finds himself at the top of Castleford's tackling charts yet again this year. Out of 387 tackles this campaign, he made the most in a single game the meeting against Leeds at AMT Headingley (47 tackles) - he has only made over 40 tackles two times since (vs Catalans and Wakefield).
